The regional hospital established in Janakpur of Province No. 2 has a glorious history. Many doctors and health workers who have contributed significantly to the nation have witnessed the unforgettable chapter of this hospital. This hospital has made a remarkable mark by releasing its own souvenir amidst various ups and downs.

About 2-3 years after the visit of Baba Shri Ramnath Aghori Pashupatinath to Kathmandu in 2013 to see Janaki, he came to Janakpur Dham. After finding out that there was no hospital in this important and holy religious historic place in the order of Janakpur Dham Basai for people's health services, he decided to go on a hunger strike. At that time, a committee was formed under the chairmanship of the former Mahanth of Janaki Temple, Shri Shri 108 Shri Naval Kishore Das. The secretary of the committee was Mr. Saroj Prasad Koirla, and members included Vishwanath Sah, Batukaraj Gautam, Dr. Jayavallabh Das, and others. Land was made available by the Mahant of Janaki Temple. After constructing a thatched hut and a few years later, the Janaki Public Hospital was inaugurated. A brick house was built as part of its development, and within 1-2 years, three rooms were made available for patients.
