Lumbini Provincial Hospital

Overview

The Lumbini Provincial Hospital, a government healthcare facility situated in Butwal within Lumbini Province of Nepal, is a vital resource for underprivileged citizens who cannot afford private medical services. Originally established as a small 6-bed dispensary by former Prime Minister Chandra Sumsher JB Rana in 1910-1911 for the Royal Palace station, the hospital has since undergone upgrades and now boasts 50 beds. Due to the high demand for medical care, the number of beds was later increased to 200. The hospital employs 29 doctors and 31 nurses who, on average, serve 19 individuals per day.
