Overview

Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre (GMC) is a health education institution located in Kaski district, Gandaki Province, Nepal, owned by Nepalese people on its own land. The college provides medical education and health services as a national priority industry, compliant with the Guidelines and Infrastructure Directions for Establishment and Operation of Private and Non-Government Health Institutions set by the Government of Nepal. GMC provides scholarships to 10% of total student intake in a year, and has a 550-bed capacity, with an additional 200 beds to be added within the year. GMC has clinical and medical facilities providing excellent health care amenities and aims to be a Centre of excellence in health education and service. The college currently has over 600 students enrolled in various programs, including MBBS, BDS, BSc MIT, BMLT, BSc. Nursing, BN, BPH and BPharma, with about 40 students pursuing PG in different specialties. GMC plans to have a 400-bedded multi-specialty hospital at Ritthepani, located about nine kilometers from Pokhara city in the future.
