Overview
Beni Hospital, formerly known as Salambeni Health Center, was established in 1995 in Myagdi district, Dhaulagiri zone, Nepal. It was upgraded to a 50-bed hospital in 2015 and is expected to benefit 600,000 people in four districts. The hospital has 10 specialist doctors and 59 government positions, including medical officers, nursing, lab, and radiology staff. Despite a shortage of specialist doctors, the hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, outpatient and inpatient services, obstetrics, lab radiology, and ultrasound services. It also offers free blood tests, HIV counseling, ART facilities, and is a Hospital-Based Gender-Based Violence Crisis Management Center. The hospital is under construction to provide basic health care to underprivileged people and implement government health policies.
